Welcome to the West Kaua'i Heritage Center

We were formally known as the West Kaua'i Visitor Center.

We are located in the West Kaua`i Technology & Visitor Center Building, Phase I. On the corner of Waimea Canyon Drive 550 and Kaumuali`i Highway 50.

The entrance is facing Kaumuali`i Highway, walk along the open breezeway, past the restrooms and round the corner at the plumeria tree.

We have reopened to the public as of December 2020.

We are now the West Kaua'i Heritage Center, sole entity of the Waimea Sugar Mill Museum.

At the Heritage Center

We offer free internet access.

Copying, Faxing , Printing and Scanning services are available for a small fee.

Keepers of the Culture

We are a museum style resource center. It is a collection of historic photographs, exhibits and multiple projects intended to encourage dialogue and cultivate an interest in learning more about West Kaua'i's history.

Our gift shop features unique island-made gifts including Niihau Shell Jewelry, photographs, and educational books.
